The Oklahoma Sooners have successfully secured a commitment from 2027 quarterback Noah Smith, a promising 3-star recruit from Lawton High School. Smith announced his decision to join the Sooners via his X account after receiving an offer during Brent Venables' Football Camps held in Norman. This commitment marks the second quarterback addition to Oklahoma's recruiting class for 2027, joining four-star recruit Jamison Roberts from Saraland, Alabama. Standing at 6-3 and weighing 210 pounds, Smith has also attracted interest from smaller in-state schools and other colleges. Despite his three-star ranking by On3, he remains unranked by 247Sports. Smith's commitment follows another significant pledge from in-state talent Gabriel Osborne Jr., a five-star cornerback. The Oklahoma Sooners' 2027 recruiting class is currently ranked among the top in the nation, showcasing a strong focus on in-state talent. As the Sooners prepare for SEC Media Days and the upcoming season, they aim to build on their recent College Football Playoff appearance in 2025.
